The most famous murder case in the world. A forensic investigator shows the police mistakes in the Perugia killing of Meredith Kercher and the arrest of Amanda Knox.
To be fair to the Italians, Amanda Knox was acting in an inappropriate manner after the murder of her roommate. But to be fair to Knox, she was not guilty - just a young, then-stupid person in a small town. For Perugia is, for all its beauty, a very small town.
Having worked as state University Police Officer, while completing both undergraduate and grad school, I encountered a number of young men and women students that are the cream of the crop. I also investigated hundreds of cases where students under the influence of booze and drugs committed crimes. Never confuse conduct with intelligence.
The Italian police conducted an investigation that was as bad as the Bolder Co, Police that conducted the murder of investigation in 1996 of the Ramsey child.
Both investigations were flawed.
At least the Italian police had an admission of guilt by the killer.
Agreed. And again, to be fair to the Italian police: the small town cops did a dreadful, dreadful job. When their federal colleagues stepped in and redid the investigation they got a conviction of the killer in weeks.
Translation from the American 🇺🇸 student or just anti American.
